Greetings for the Holiday Season, I hope that this finds you all well, and healthy. I have so many interesting things to tell you all, I will try to keep it brief. We have some events coming up, new products being offered, and just some fun news.
This Saturday, the 5th, Red Barn Yarn will be at Phebie’s NeedleArt, Claremont California, with a handsome selection of the worsted weight, “one of a kind” yarns, some loopy mohair, alpaca coordinates, diva bundles, and the regularly offered, worsted, wool and mohair blend. During the annual open house and sale, you may pop one of the balloons, and receive discounts of up to 20% on your purchases.
In January, 2010 you may expect to see Red Barn Yarn at the TNNA show in Long Beach, booth #1542. Anticipating that this will be another exciting event .
I have been researching and testing additional yarns to paint. Coming soon, is a wool and silk blend, 50/50, same color stories. This is a 2 ply light weight yarn, 175 yards per skein, and a gauge of
5-5.5 sts per inch using needles sized 3-5. I will have two samples of this beauty with me at the event Saturday.
Fall was really busy with travel and meeting lots of new people. I think that you all knew we were headed for the Houston International Quilt Market. Wow, lots of fun, lots of work, and some new places where you can find our yarn. I am tickled to have each and everyone.
From Houston, I headed to Idaho, to visit friends, and shops. We visited with Knit Wits, Boise, had a trunk show at Ewephoria & Fabrique, in Nampa, and another trunk show at The Yarn Shoppe, in Meridian. Red Barn Yarn is available by special order from these shops. During that trip I met Stephanie. Stephanie will be knitting samples, and will be showing the yarn to shops in her area. We are excited to work with Stephanie.
All for now, I look forward to seeing you Saturday if you are in the area.
Warmest wishes for the holidays,
