About Red Barn Yarns

These unique, hand-painted yarns are truly 'once-in-a-lifetime' creations. Each skein is distinct yet maintains an overall consistency, when combined with others of the same colorway, they produce a beautifully tonal solid knitted piece. Each color can seamlessly blend with one or more Red Barn colorways, highlighting their coordinating undertones. Minor variations are expected and embraced in hand-painted yarns, so for optimal results, alternate skeins during your project. Be sure to purchase or order enough yarn at the beginning to complete your work.

I offer a range of base yarns available on our website, with a rotating selection of additional options in the Studio, as I continuously explore new and intriguing yarns from the marketplace. You'll find a wonderful array of choices across various weights and fibers.

Care Instructions

All of our yarns should be washed with cool water, and care instructions can be on the product tags. We suggest the following guidelines:

Use cool water along your preferred wool wash that's suitable for fine fibers, and simply adhere to the product instructions. In many cases, soaking is the best method, and rinsing may not be necessary. If you're using a strong, vibrant color, consider adding a tiny amount of white vinegar to the.

Gently squeeze out excess water from your knitted or crocheted item, roll it a towel to absorb more moisture, and then lay it flat to dry.
